DESCRIPTION:Come help us celebrate Shabbat and Cantor Rebecca Robins’ “Bat Mitzvah” — 13 years at Temple Sinai! \nThe evening begins with a Family Shabbat Dinner at 5:30 pm\, then we’ll gather for a joyful Shabbat service at 6:30 pm. A festive oneg will follow. \nThis is a night for everyone! To help us plan\, please let us know whether you intend to attend the dinner (space is limited) or the oneg\, based on what works best for your family’s schedule\, using the registration link below. Just coming for services? You can let us know that\, too. \nThe registration form also includes options to make a donation to the Religious School Fund in honor of Cantor Robins and to contribute a message to the tribute book we’re compiling for her. DESCRIPTION:“We Won’t Give Up on Hope: A Musical Evening to Lift Our Spirits”\nWith Cantor Rachel Rhodes and guests:\nCantor Ze’evi Tovlev\, Cantor Becky Mann\, and Emily Groff-Heilborn\nAccompanied by Tony Nalker\, Paul Henry\, and Lucas Ashby \nAn evening of song from all genres meant to lift our spirits and remind us that hope is always worth holding onto. The concert will be followed by a dessert reception. \nRSVP \nCantor Ze’evi Tovlev (they/them): is the Cantor of Temple Shalom in Chevy Chase\, Maryland. With roots in songleading\, Jewish education\, and classical voice\, Ze’evi believes in the power of communal prayer\, learning\, and social justice to create meaningful change. \nEmily Groff Heilborn is the new Education and Ritual Music Specialist at Temple Sinai. Emily is a music educator\, songwriter\, and worship leader who has spent more than a decade helping communities find connection and meaning through music. \nCantor Becky Mann is Temple Sinai’s cantor-in-residence. She is passionate about creating community through music and meaningful worship\, and inspiring communities through her heartfelt interpretations of prayer. \nTony Nalker (piano): After serving over 27 years in the U.S. Army playing piano for the highest levels of the U.S. government\, Tony Nalker currently plays with The Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and The National Symphony Orchestra Pops\, as well as working on a variety of recording and composition projects.
