Our committee met last week to finalize the job description and plans to interview and hire our next assistant rabbi. We will begin receiving application materials in early December from soon-to-be-ordained students at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion. Our committee will interview students via Zoom and review materials, including recordings of previous services and sermons, through the end of the year. We intend to bring finalists to Temple Sinai in January for on-site interviews and hopefully offer the position to our top candidate by mid to late February. If all goes according to plan, we will welcome our new assistant rabbi in July 2027. We will continue to provide updates throughout the process.
