Music

Come sing with us!

Temple Sinai is a musically rich congregation that encourages congregants to be active participants in the musical life of the synagogue through a variety of avenues. We view music as our bridge to the divine – whether in worship, musical groups, experiencing outside artists, or watching our youth make music together, we can proudly say that music is a driving force of our spiritual paths and communal experiences at Temple Sinai.

Support Music at Temple Sinai

Music Fund & The Circle of Music Lovers

Those who contribute to our annual “Circle of Music Lovers” campaign join a community of members and friends committed to Temple Sinai’s diverse, high-quality musical programs. All contributions go to the Music Fund, which supports all aspects of our congregation’s musical life including the music of regular ritual worship, adult, youth & pop-up choirs, Shabbat Shira, and special musical showcases throughout the year. We are deeply grateful to all our Circle of Music Lovers donors!

The Florence & Irwin Speyer Endowed Music Innovation Fund

This endowed fund is established to support Temple Sinai’s commitment to modern and innovative developments in Jewish music. Specific uses for the Fund may include, but are not limited to: bringing visiting musicians to come and perform at Temple Sinai; providing musical training for Temple Sinai clergy, staff, and/or adult & youth member; and commissions of new musical compositions. Most recently, this fund supported the production of Rabbi Diamondstein’s new album in 2023 and underwrote visiting musician Jason Mesches in 2024.
