Work with peers at Temple Sinai to bring a real impact to our programming, offerings, and opportunities for teens. Lead your Sinai friends in meaningful social action/ social justice programs, engage in ritual and worship leadership, and envision the course of life at Temple Sinai for kids aged 14-18.
8th-12th Graders
Remember those teens that helped in your Sunday school or Hebrew class that were so cool? Now, its your turn! Join us to support students, their learning, and to be a positive and engaging Jewish role model. PLUS, grab 30 SSL hours for Sunday school, and 20 SSL hours for Hebrew!
8th-12th Graders
Antisemitism is being experienced by Jewish teens around our area more than ever before. Awareness, relationship, and understanding are the best antidotes to hate. Train with JCRC to bring your story and yourself into classrooms around the DC Metro area, and bring a positive, engaging, friendly, and supportive voice to Judaism.
11th-12th Graders
Kumi Justice Retreats is a retreat-based experience for 9th-12th graders from across the country to learn about social justice while building leadership skills and creating a multiracial, Jewishly diverse community of belonging.
Participants learn skills to interrupt racism and antisemitism, and create inclusive Jewish communities in their own schools, youth groups, synagogues, and eventually college campuses.
9th-12th Graders
Engage those writing, investigative, and journalism skills with the JTA in this fellowship supporting journalism for teens.
15-18 years old
The Emerging Leaders Fellowship is a nine-month program for tenth through twelfth graders designed to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper connection to Jewish learning. Rooted in the values of student agency, academic freedom, and a rich tradition spanning over 200 years of critical Jewish scholarship, the fellowship invites students to explore key ideas that shape our understanding of Jewish history, texts, and identity.
10th-12th Graders
Already decided to work as a madrichim? Dive deeper into your leadership goals and experience, and earn a $250 stipend for engaging in this full-year madrichim fellowship. This program meets monthly, with a kickoff on August 30. After the August meeting, most of the programming will be online. The stipend will be paid in USD at the completion of the fellowship.
8th-12th Graders
The Sing Unto God Jewish Teen Songleader Fellowships help emerging Jewish teen songleaders build the skills, confidence, repertoire, and leadership experience to lead music in synagogues, camps, religious schools, youth groups, and Jewish communities.
Fellows begin with a regional weekend retreat, continue with monthly online learning, and receive mentorship from clergy, educators, and Jewish music leaders throughout the school year.
8th-12th Graders
The Bernard and Audre Rapoport L’Taken Social Justice Seminar is designed to both expose teens to a variety of public policy issues and explore the Jewish values that inform the Reform Movement’s advocacy around these issues, while having fun and making connections with other Jewish teens across North America.
