  • Kehillat Shabbat services, Saturday, September 6 at 10:30 am with a kiddush lunch following the service.
    RSVP for lunch.

Rabbi Marx describes the month of Elul as a time of soul-searching and repentance (teshuvah) that are individual and personal but that take place within a larger matrix of mutual responsibility and an effort to seek the face of God and other people. Elul concludes the Hebrew year, but it also flows into the year to come, as a month of self-evaluation (cheshbon ha-nefesh), doing teshuvah, and preparing our hearts for the Days of Awe, the new year, and its blessings (From Time to Time, 333). Her teachings will focus on this time of year and elevate our engagement with this special period on the Jewish calendar.
