Your Safety Is Our Priority This High Holiday Season
As we come together to celebrate the High Holidays, the safety and well-being of our members, guests, and staff remain our highest priorities.

You will notice additional security personnel, local law enforcement, and enhanced safety protocols in and around our service locations. These proactive measures are taken in close coordination with our security partners and reflect our ongoing commitment to preparedness and prevention. There is no known threat to our community at this time.

To help protect our community, we will not be publicizing the locations of offsite services in any public materials. That information will be available exclusively to members through the Temple Sinai member portal.

We encourage everyone to stay aware of their surroundings. If you see anything concerning, please speak with a staff member or a member of the security team.

Thank you for your partnership in keeping our community safe, secure, and welcoming for all.

Other Resources & Programs

Over 1.5 million people in the DMV don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

In 2024, 37% of our neighbors experienced food insecurity, a 5% increase from 2023, and this number is continuing to rise dramatically in 2025.

With federal funding cuts and job loss, CAFB is expecting a large increase in food insecure individuals in our region.

Nearly 50,000 families are expected to lose SNAP benefits which provided approximately 40 meals per month. At the same time, cuts in federal food supplies result in decreased resources to meet rising demand.

EVERY DOLLAR YOU DONATE CAN HELP CAFB PROVIDE 2 MEALS TO NEIGHBORS IN NEED!

Last year, Temple Sinai helped provide more than 70,000 meals—let’s keep the momentum going!
