View the videos to learn about Temple Sinai’s history. The videos capture both longtime members of Temple Sinai telling their own stories about our congregation as well as rabbis and cantors sharing their experiences. Their memories reach back to the founding years and capture the struggles to create a unique Reform congregation in Washington, D.C. In addition, Cantor Croen shares what it was like to be one of the first women trained as a cantor as well as the first cantor at Temple Sinai. This Oral History Project is part of the work of the temple’s Archives Committee and is supported by the Harris Jewish History Fund; please consider making a contribution to support future projects.
