The Moment We Are In, The Future We Pray For (January 30, 2024)

The Union for Reform Judaism and the major Reform Movement organizations of North America, including the Central Conference of American Rabbis and ARZA, issued a statement calling for a diplomatic settlement of the conflict that will ensure Israel’s long-term security and the establishment of Palestinian self-governance.

Reform Leadership Responds to President Trump’s Recent Comments on Gaza (February 5, 2025)

It is unrealistic and dangerous, will cause additional regional instability, poses grave security risks to Israel and undermines Palestinian self-determination. It jeopardizes the current ceasefire and hostage release deal, as well as their future phases. And it impedes the longstanding principle of a negotiated two-state solution, which, despite everything, still holds the best possibility for peace, stability, and a secure, viable future for all those in the region. Trump’s announcement neglected the next phase of ceasefire negotiations and freeing the remaining hostages, which must remain central to any conversations regarding the region.
